The past 5 months have been very unprecedented...these times are currently so unpredictable and a bit scary for a lot of people who may have been impacted either on their jobs or health.
While life has not gone the way any of us would have ever imagined in 2020, life must ultimately go on!
This year has gone very differently for my family for a lot of reasons, one being we did not anticipate still living in NC this year. We were 98% sure, the end of 2019, that we would be moving to FL in 2020. Our goal was to be closer to family and give us a chance to have the kids home for a while before I went back to work full-time! I mean we had a realtor, had went down to look at houses and scout some local schools.
It’s funny how we made all these BIG “adulting plans” thinking that we had it all together and meanwhile God was orchestrating a different plan (story of my life).
God made it so that the amazing job offer in FL (that we were so patiently waiting for) came AFTER the pandemic had started
and ultimately we decided this was not the appropriate season to make such a huge move so quickly with our small children!
Even though we have decided to pause any big moves and stay in NC for the meantime, we knew for a fact we were ready to move-on from our starter-home of almost 5 years that we had built prior to having any children. Our home has been the 1st home to all of our 3 kids and a place of so many happy beginnings!
There are many things that we had not considered prior to buying this home, as we were 1st time home buyers and just tired of renting. However, that’s a story for another post...
As my family and I are MOVING on to new beginnings during this pandemic, my challenge for you is to MOVE past any disappointment or discouragement that you may be feeling or dealing with in this season!
It’s so easy to allow your failed plans to discourage you from making any further goals, however, I can say from experience that any failed plans that I have ever had (and there have been many, I wouldn’t even know where to begin) were initially painful but I have always prevailed and ultimately come out ahead in the long run!
Re-write your plans to fit whatever season your life has carried you to! It’s okay to start from scratch.
2020 looks differently than I pictured so I’ve been writing new goals... this time I’m skipping lines in between each goal to allow room for God to pencil in his edits (LoL).
